Internship Blog: Day 5

Adrian Perez  Dr. Lee  Internship  23 October 2019  Internship Blog: Day 5  Today was our 5th day of our internship. It was a small and calming day. Upon arrival, we were asked if we could help dismantling some 3D Printers that were left and no longer had use. We had some knowledge of the tools we were told to use, but still we had a lesson on how to dismantle, what parts to take off, and what parts to keep. The dismantling was pretty straight forward; just find parts with screws and take them off. Tyler successfully dismantled 2 and a half. Adrian took 2 and the other half. With all the spare parts, we put them into boxes that gave us to have some sort of organization. Those parts would them be used for other people's projects. For one, we know out educator Joseph said he would like to make a moveable monkey, that waves at you when close. A lot of different things can be done with those parts. Internship Blog: Day 4

Adrian Perez  Internship Blog Dr. Lee  16 October 2019  Internship Blog: Day 4  Today, when we got there, we were introduced to the idea of making stickers out of sheets of paper they had extras of. We were tasked to find pictures on the internet of different things we liked and make them into stickers. Adrian chose a lighting bolt, a Brawl Stars logo, and a spider. Tyler chose bats, ghosts, and also a Brawl Stars logo. In finding the pictures, we were shown once how to do one of the pictures but then left on our own to see if we were able to make all the stickers. We were able to make all of the stickers, and they came out great. We spent the majority of our time there making these stickers, but in the end, we had the opportunity to find new designs on the internet and make more stickers, we decided to make some but as the bearcat logo. The conflict was that we had to make them in black and white, and we couldn’t find the logo in black and white, so we improvised. We took

Our teachers were not there when we got there but we waited and looked around the place, our favorite spots being in front. A couple of minutes pass, and when the teachers come, we were told that it was cleaning day so we had to clean the woodworking shop. We weren’t prepared for the amount of dust, that was in that place, but we still managed. First, we started on the right side of the room. We, in the beginning, were taught how to use the blower and where to broom, but from there were did things with the help of our teachers. The right side took a little longer than expected, 45 min, but it still looked very clean after we were done. From there, we had to go to the other side of the room, which was much bigger than the small right side. We, from there, split up into two groups with the teachers to efficiently get the j
